Central Jersey Bank, Long Branch, which recently merged with Monmouth Community Bank, Long Branch, and Allaire Community Bank, Sea Girt, has announced James S. Vaccaro has been named president and CEO. Prior to the merger, Vaccaro was chairman of Monmouth Community Bank since 1998, and CEO since 2000. He, his wife, and three children reside in West Allenhurst.
Robert S. Vuono has been named by Central Jersey Bank as senior executive vice president and COO. Vuono served as senior executive vice president and COO at Allaire Community bank since 2004, and CFO and secretary of the bank since its inception in 1997. He, his wife, and the couple’s three children reside in Wall.
Central Jersey has named Carl F. Chirico as its new vice chairman. Chirico previously served as president and CEO of Allaire Community Bank since its inception. He, his wife and daughter reside in Toms River. George S. Callas has been named chairman of the board of Central Jersey. Prior to the merger, he was chairman of Allaire Community Bank, and a board member since its inception. He and his wife reside in Brielle.
Baja Fresh Mexican Grill, Middletown, announced that Arlene Etzkorn, Middletown, is the winner of the first “Fill Up on Fresh Sweepstakes,” and received 100 gallons of gasoline valued at approximately $300. The company received more than 3,000 entries from Nov. 1-Dec. 15 at its five participating New Jersey locations in East Brunswick, Edison, Ocean Township, Watchung and Middletown.
James G. Aaron, West Long Branch, was recently nominated for appointment to the New Jersey Racing Commission following a submission by acting Gov. Richard J. Codey to the New Jersey State Senate.
The Greater Ocean Township Chamber of Commerce held its annual awards and installation dinner dance on Jan. 5 during which time new officers for 2006 were installed. Mark Horowitz was installed as president, and Michele Commodore as vice president. Hortense Jatlow will serve as secretary, and William Golda as treasurer. Two new trustees — Greg Jacobson of Ameriprise Financial Services, and Estelle Cadet of PNC Bank — were also installed.
The Chamber also gave out its annual awards, with Businessperson of the Year bestowed on Frank Pavia of Country Clean, Ocean. Community Service Awards went to Warren Goode, CPA, Ocean, and Bob Bortolameotti of Ocean Township Human Services. The Beautification Award was given to Stavola Companies for restoration of Ocean Plaza. A Special Chamber Recognition Award went to Intermodal Management Services for continued support of the Chamber’s Adopt-a-Family program. The Chamber Service Award was given to Priya Mattson of Priyatee Creations Event Planning for leadership on the culinary classic and other Chamber involvements.
Michael Fitzpatrick of Fitzpatrick & Associates Inc., Eatontown, was recently re-elected a trustee at Building Contractors Association of New Jersey (BCANJ), Edison, at its annual meeting held in December. BCANJ consists of 225 members engaged in commercial, institutional and industrial construction.
