Air Force Airman Steven Cosme recently graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Airmen completing basic training earn credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force. A 2005 graduate of Bloomfield Technical School, Cosme is the son of Tania Diaz, Eatontown.
Air Force Airman Jonathan C. Schmiedeberg recently graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Airmen completing basic training also earn credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Schmiedeberg is a 2002 graduate of Ocean Township High School, Oakhurst section of Ocean Township.
Andrew D. Klimkowski, Sea Bright, a student trustee at The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, Pomona, recently received the New Jersey Distinguished Service Medal, which is the state’s highest military award. Klimkowski is a military veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom and served in Southwest Asia in the war on terrorism. He is serving his first term on the Stockton College Board of Trustees as a student trustee alternate, and next term he will be the student trustee voting member on the board. He is a junior majoring in political science.
Navy Seaman Recruit Jesse Canaris recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. During the eight-week program, Canaris completed a variety of training which included classroom study and practical instruction on naval customs, first aid, firefighting, water safety and survival, and shipboard and aircraft safety. A 2005 graduate of Long Branch High School, he is the son of Michele D. Canaris, Eatontown.
