May I. Connett Mrs. Connett, 84, of Atlantic Highlands, and formerly Eatontown, died Oct. 31 at Care One King James, Atlantic Highlands. She was born in Keyport. Mrs. Connett was a department manager at Shelty United, Red Bank, before her retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Red Bank. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Horace and Jeanne Smith of Fair Haven; a sister, Gloria Spagnoli of Neptune City; two grandchildren; and a great-grandson. Arrangements were by the John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank. Memorial donations may be made to the Monmouth County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 260 Wall St., Eatontown 07724.
Mary A. Hoffman Miller Mrs. Miller, of Monmouth Beach, died Oct. 26 at St. Barnabas Hospice, Long Branch. Born in Jersey City, she resided there prior to moving to Monmouth Beach 36 years ago. She was a teacher with the Long Branch Public School. Prior to that, she taught at Garfield Elementary School, Long Branch, and for the Jersey City School System. She was predeceased by a sister, Patricia Kalembka. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Vincent J. Miller; a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Vincent A. Miller and Patricia Miller; and three grandsons. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, West Orange. Interment was at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City. Arrangements were by Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange.
