Liam C. McClelland
Mr. McClelland, 26, of Toms River, died Oct. 17 at home. Born in Red Bank, he resided in Middletown Township prior to moving to Toms River three months ago. He was a carpenter and commercial fisherman at MI-JO, Atlantic Highlands, as well as several other area boats. He was a graduate of Middletown High School North. He was a communicant of St. Catherine’s Roman Catholic Church, North Middletown. He was a member of the Sons of the Legion at American Legion Post No. 338, Leonardo section of Middletown. He enjoyed surfing, fishing and snowboarding. He was predeceased by his father, William “Pete” McClelland in 2004. He is survived by his mother, Catherine McClelland of Toms River; two brothers, Shamus McClelland of Middletown, and Al McClelland of Murphysboro, Tenn.; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A funeral liturgy was held at St. Catherine’s Church. Arrangements were by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.
Paul J. Bosak
Mr. Bosak, 61, of Toms River, died Oct. 10 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Irvington, he resided in Eatontown, prior to moving to Toms River 30 years ago. He was a computer programmer at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, for 30 years, retiring in 1999. He served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was predeceased by his wife Patricia Bosak in 2001. He is survived by a daughter, Stacy Bosak of Forked River; three sons, Paul Bosak Jr. of Beachwood, Edward Bosak of Jackson, and Matthew Bosak of Toms River; a brother, Martin Bosak of Toms River; and four grandchildren. Burial was at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. Memorial donations may be made to Deborah Hospital Foundation, New Jersey Region, P.O. John J. Pojawa Sr.
Mr. Pojawa, 63, of Freehold, died Oct. 9 in New Gretna, Burlington County. He was born in Jersey City and had lived in Englishtown before moving to Freehold. Mr. Pojawa was a carpenter. Prior to that, he was a purchasing agent for Signalite, Neptune, from 1979 to 1980; an assistant purchasing agent for the Prudential Property and Casualty Insurance Co., Holmdel, from 1977 to 1978; purchasing agent for Central Jersey Bank and Trust Co., Freehold; and was employed by Tom McAn Shoes, East Brunswick, and Inward Freight Department and Purchasing, New York City. He was a graduate of James J. Ferris High School, Jersey City; the Academy of Advanced Traffic Management, New York City; and the Electronic Computer Programming Institute, New Brunswick. He also attended Brookdale Community College, Lincroft. Mr. Pojawa is survived by a son, John Pojawa of Englishtown; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Yvette M. and Raye Futerfas of Eatontown, and Suzanne Pojawa and her companion, Douglas Lindstrom, Jeanine J. and Chris Bidun, and Simonne Eugenia Pojawa, all of Englishtown; a brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Marilyn Pojawa of Nutley; a sister, Judy Swallow of Pine Beach; and two grandchildren. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church, Englishtown, followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent section of Manalapan. Memorial donations may be made to Deborah Heart and Lung Center, 212 Trenton Road, Browns Mills 08015. The Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements.
