WithumSmith&Brown, certified public accountants and consultants, has moved its Red Bank office to larger quarters at One River Centre, 331 Newman Springs Road. The office was previously located at 328 Newman Springs Road.
The Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey hospice recently won the National 2005 Outcomes Improvement Award in pain management from Hospice Pharmacia. The hospice was one of four nationwide to win awards for demonstrating excellence in patient practice systems and commitment to continuing education.
180, Turning Lives Around of Monmouth County, Hazlet, recently received a $10,000 FirstEnergy Foundation grant from Jersey Central Power & Light Central Region President Don Lynch.
The grant will be used to train emergency response team volunteers. 180 provides services to women, men and children affected by domestic violence and sexual assault.
Natalie E. Smith, Ocean Township, was recently nominated for appointment to the New Jersey Health Care Administration Board; and West Long Branch resident Leonard E. Spiegel was nominated for reappointment to the state Mosquito Control Commission by acting Gov. Richard J. Codey to the State Senate.
Robert C. Manfredi Jr., Tinton Falls, was recently nominated for appointment to the New Jersey State Orthotics and Prosthetics Board of Examiners by acting Gov. Richard J. Codey.
The Eastern Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce “Business After Hours Committee” will hold a networking event and clambake July 21 from 4-8 p.m. at Ocean Place Resort & Spa, Long Branch. The event will feature a cash bar, music by Dancing DJs, and foods such as steamed clams, shrimp, crab claws, burgers, salads, and beverages. Cost is $60 for nonmembers, $45 for members, and a $5 charge for unregistered walk-ins. Reservations are required and may be made by calling the Chamber at (732) 741-0055.
