      Violet T. Waple

      Mrs. Waple, 81, of Eatontown, died March 2 at home. Born in Newark, she resided in Freehold Township and Eatontown the past 37 years. She is survived by her husband, George Henry Waple III, Captain, U.S. Army, Retired; and six children, Richard, Renee, Andrew, Ronald, Peter and Odette. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Dorothea’s Roman Catholic Church, Eatontown, Interment was at Arlington (Va.) National Cemetery. Arrangements were by Braun Funeral Home, Eatontown. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 801 Broad St., Shrewsbury 07702.

      Ellen V. Jones Horner

      Mrs. Horner, 60, of Monmouth Beach, died March 3 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Teaneck, she resided in California prior to moving to Monmouth Beach in 1994. She was a case manager at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, and was a registered nurse approximately 40 years. She was predeceased by a sister, Francis Jones Richardson. She is survived by four brothers and sisters-in-law, Stanley and Mary Carmen Jones of Florida, Richard and Maggie Jones of California, Stephen and Margaret Jones of North Carolina, and Robert and Mary Ann Jones of Illinois; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Mary Ann and Joseph Dormady of Michigan, Kathleen Dunford of Monmouth Beach, Elizabeth Smith of New Mexico, and Virginia and Michael Boyle of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at the Roman Catholic Church of Precious Blood, Monmouth Beach. Entombment was at Woodbine Mausoleum, Oceanport. Arrangements were by Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch. Memorial donations may be made to the Monmouth County Food Bank, 3300 Route 66, Neptune 07753; or Habitat for Humanity, 167 Hoey Ave., Long Branch 07740.
