The Elliot Denman Award for Special Achievement went to Nancy Steadman-Martin, of Oceanport, and Michelle Davidson, of Oakhurst, who completed the 22-mile swim across the English Channel this past August. Nancy covered the distance in 11 hours and 20 minutes, while Michelle’s time was 13:47. The temperature of the choppy water was 62 degrees.
