Police seek information regarding missing girls
Krystyna Hammond
An investigation into the whereabouts of two Ocean Township girls continues after they were reported missing on Feb. 9 by their parents.
The girls, Krystyna Hammond, 14, and Alexis DeLima, 12, were last seen at the Hammonds’ Willow Drive apartment.
According to police, Alexis called her mother on Monday. They had a brief conversation where she indicated that she was fine; however, she told her mother that she had to go and hung up before any useful lead information could be gathered.
The phone call was traced to a pay phone in the Niantic section of East Lyme, Conn. The Ocean Township Police Department is coordinating with the police in that area to attempt to find the girls.
Krystyna is 5 feet 1 inch tall, and weighs about 110 pounds. She has brown eyes and was last seen wearing a black jacket.
Alexis, 5 feet 7 inches, 158 pounds, also has brown eyes and brown hair. She was last seen wearing red and black boots, blue stretch pants and a black-hooded jacket.
The Ocean Township police are requesting that anyone who has seen or heard from the youths contact them at (732) 531-1800.
