Holistic Healing, Sea Bright, will present “Simple, Delicious Vegetarian Meals” March 2, April 5, May 4 and June 7 from 7-9:30 p.m. The sixth annual women’s conference “Empowering Our Hearts and Spirits” will be March 19 from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Both are at Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Monmouth County, 1475 W. Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, will observe National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month during March with the program “Reducing Colorectal Cancer Risks” March 8 at 6:30 p.m. at the Ocean Place Resort & Spa, Long Branch. The free program will be given by Steven Shiff, M.D., a chairman at the Cancer Institute of New Jersey, and associate professor of medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey/Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. The lecture is being funded through gifts made in memory of Sal DiPietro, the late husband of Monmouth Medical Center physician Wendy Shertz. Monmouth University, West Long Branch, has announced the selection of Calvin Williams, Elberon section of Long Branch, as its associate vice president for instructional services. Prior to joining Monmouth, he was director for teaching, learning and technology in the Department of Information Technology at Seton Hall University, South Orange. Prior to that, Williams was assistant director of the division of information technology, learning technology and distance education at University of Wisconsin, Madison; and assistant director of the center for teaching, learning and technology at Bowling Green State University, Ohio. He received his master’s degree of library information science at Rutgers University, and bachelor of arts degree at Rutgers College, both New Brunswick.

Two River Community Bank, Middletown, announced that Rose Kubik, manager of the Atlantic Highlands office, has been promoted to assistant treasurer; Kristine Zulewski, manager of the Allaire office, was promoted to assistant vice president; and Fred Dollinger, vice president and senior business development officer, will assume duties of manager at the office in the Cliffwood section of Aberdeen. Two River has branches in Allaire, Atlantic Highlands, Cliffwood, Port Monmouth section of Middletown, Red Bank, Tinton Falls and West Long Branch.
