Central Jersey Blood Center, Shrewsbury, has announced the following local blood drives:

• Feb. 18 from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the community meeting room at Monmouth Medical Center, 300 Second Ave., Long Branch

• Feb. 24 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at First Interstate Financial, 39 Avenue of the Commons, Shrewsbury.

The donation process takes about an hour. Donors must also complete a medical history interview and have a miniphysical (temperature, iron, pulse and blood pressure screening).

Interested donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health. All donors must present identification with signature at time of registration.
