Red Bank resident Peter Bruckmann, a personal financial representative at Allstate Financial Services LLC, Colts Neck, recently received the Volunteer of the Year Award from Monmouth University, West Long Branch, of which he was a member of the class of 1970. Bruckmann has been an active member of the alumni board of directors since the mid-90s, and is treasurer of the alumni association and chairman of the Alumni Awareness Committee. Under his leadership, the committee has undertaken projects such as new alumni association banners for Kessler Field and Boylan Gymnasium, and sponsorship of children’s theater productions for the second year at the university’s Pollak Theatre. Bruckmann is certified in long-term care (CLTC). The CLTC designation focuses on giving insurance professionals the tools needed to meet clients’ long-term care needs.
The Monmouth/Ocean Chapter of the New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners will hold a dinner meeting Jan. 27 at 6 p.m. at the Old Time Tavern, routes 37 and 166, Toms River. The topic of discussion will be “Women Need To Know More About Social Security!” Dave Delaney, senior public affairs specialist for the New Jersey Area Office of the Social Security Administration will give the presentation and will host a question-and-answer session.
