The Athletic Hall of Fame was established to recognize athletes and coaches who have distinguished themselves in a variety of sports and to provide role models for the students of today, according to a press release from the Long Branch public schools.
The 16 honorees were selected by a committee that reviewed the athletic achievements of those nominees who have received recognition on local, state, national and international levels.
