Audrey I. Johantgen

Mrs. Johantgen, 83, of Long Branch died Dec. 15 at home. Born in Canesteal, N.Y., she resided there prior to moving to Long Branch in 1958. She was a communicant of and member of the choir at Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert J. Johantgen in 1988; a daughter, Roberta Le’Noir in May; and three grandchildren. She is survived by four sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert J. Johantgen Jr. of Miami, Harry L. and Catherine Johantgen of Texas, George W. Johantgen of Long Branch, and Bruce C. and Diane Johantgen of Long Branch; three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Norman George of Eatontown, Betty and Steve Sanders of Florida, and Mary and Donald Kuhlman of the Oakhurst section of Ocean Township; a sister, Elizabeth Bush of Englishtown; 21 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at Star of the Sea Church. Interment was at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport. Arrangements were by Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch. Memorial donations may be made to Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, 101 Chelsea Ave., Long Branch 07740.

David L. Treger

Mr. Treger, 25, of the Cliffwood Beach section of Aberdeen, died Dec. 20 in Newark, Del. Born in Red Bank, he resided in Long Branch and Aberdeen prior to moving to Cliffwood Beach. He was a laborer and truck driver at Traffic Lines Inc., Farmingdale. He was in the Active Reserve with the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his wife, Kristen Cerovsky Treger; his father and stepmother, David and Nancy Treger of Long Branch; his mother and stepfather, Christine and Nico Araco of Cliffwood Beach; a brother, Nico Araco of Cliffwood Beach; a stepbrother, B.J. Cornine; and two stepsisters, Amanda and Geri Cornine. Visitation will be Dec. 23 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Day Funeral Home, Keyport.

Sandra Altberg Juliano

Mrs. Juliano, 70, of West Long Branch, died Dec. 19 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Long Branch she was a lifelong resident of West Long Branch. She was a retired registered nurse at Monmouth Medical Center. Following retirement, she was a volunteer for St. Barnabas Hospice at the medical center. She was predeceased by her husband, Vincent G. Juliano in 2000. She is survived by a son, Louis Juliano of West Long Branch; two daughters, Cheryl Gregory of the Oakhurst section of Ocean Township, and Lynn Di Donato of Manasquan; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Burial and a committal service were at Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown. Arrangements were by Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch. Mae Martens Krouse

Mrs. Krouse, 93, of Red Bank, died Dec. 4 at her daughter’s home in Monmouth Beach. Born in Gladbrook, Iowa, she resided in St. Louis, and relocated to Rumson in 1949 prior to moving to Red Bank. She was a member of Rumson Presbyterian Church. She performed social work with children and did volunteer work for several years. She enjoyed time with her family, and bridge. She was predeceased by her husband, Marion Krouse; four brothers, Robert, Albert, George and James Martens; and a sister, Margaret. She is survived by two daughters, Carol Sullivan of Monmouth Beach, and Barbara Williamson of Rumson; two sons, Roger Krouse of Asbury Park, and Donald Krouse of Weaverville, Calif.; a sister, Dorothy Cablish of St. Louis; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service was at Navesink House, Red Bank, where she resided. Arrangements were by John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank.
