Mary A. Moroney Bacharde
Mrs. Bacharde, 87, of the Oakhurst section of Ocean Township, died Oct. 16 at Meridian Nursing and Rehabilitation, Red Bank. Born in Carteret, she resided in Matawan before moving to Oakhurst 21 years ago. She and her husband were owners/operators of JoJoe’s Cocktail Lounge, Matawan, for 26 years, retiring in 1979. Mrs. Bacharde was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Bacharde, in 1986; two brothers, Joseph Moroney and Edward Moroney; and a sister, Margaret Lazar. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John K. and Veronica Bacharde of Matawan; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Steve Jakubowski of Oakhurst; a sister, Johanna Casale of Monroe; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A funeral service was held at St. Clement’s Roman Catholic Church, Matawan. Entombment took place at St. Joseph’s Mausoleum, Keyport. The Day Funeral Home, Keyport, was in charge of arrangements. Anthony “Tony” Masi
Mr. Masi, 88, of Long Branch, died Oct. 6 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Newark, he resided there prior to moving to Long Branch in 1965. Mr. Masi was a retired crossing guard for the Long Branch school system. Prior to that, he was a machinist at Walter Kiddie and at S.S. White, Holmdel, from which he retired. He was a communicant of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. He as a former member of the Newark Elks. Mr. Masi is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Masi; three sons, Pat Masi of Parsippany, Anthony Masi of the Wanamassa section of Ocean Township, and Nicholas Masi of Little Egg Harbor; a sister, Rose Alessio of Arizona; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Interment was at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport. The Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch, was in charge of arrangements.
Jane H. Mooney Bertolette
Mrs. Bertolette, 81, of Middletown, died Oct. 26 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. She resided in Clark before moving to Middletown 41 years ago. Mrs. Bertolette was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Red Bank. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond R. Bertolette; two brothers, James J. Mooney and Arthur Mooney; and a sister Mary Mooney. Mrs. Bertolette is survived by a son, the Rev. Archimandrite Ephraem of Middletown; and a daughter, Madeleine C. Aiken of Long Branch. Karl E. Ipsen
Mr. Ipsen, 67, of West Long Branch, died Oct. 28 at home following a lengthy illness. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he resided in West Long Branch for 41 years. Mr. Ipsen was senior director at the Fort Monmouth Electronic and Communication Command, retiring after 32 years. He served with the U.S. Army for three years. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Reformation, West Long Branch, and was a past president of the West Long Branch Lions Club. He was a member of Mensa, and the West Long Branch Leisure Club. Mr. Ipsen was predeceased by his brother, Donald Ipsen. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Marie Ciambrone Ipsen; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Joan Ipsen of New York City, and Richard and Denise Ipsen of Eatontown; and three grandchildren. A funeral service was held at the Lutheran Church of the Reformation. Entombment took place at Woodbine Mausoleum, Oceanport. The Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch, was in charge of arrangements. Anthony F. Micko
Mr. Micko, 82, of Cedar Grove, died Nov. 12 at St. Vincent Nursing Home, Cedar Grove. Born in New York City, he resided in Eatontown for 14 years before moving to Cedar Grove four years ago. Mr. Micko was a retired cabinet maker. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Vail Association Senior Citizens, Eatontown. Mr. Micko was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Margaret Hupka Micko, in 1995; and a son, Michael, in 1970. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Toni Micko of Highlands; a daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Bill Murphy of Bloomfield; five grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Dorothea’s Roman Catholic Church, Eatontown, followed by interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. The John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank, was in charge of arrangements.
Nancy Tammany Falcon
Mrs. Falcon, 46, of Old Bridge died Oct. 6 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was employed at ShopRite of Old Bridge and at Cheesequake Elementary School, also Old Bridge. Surviving are her husband, Freddie; a daughter, Diana Lynn of Old Bridge; a son, Freddie Michael, also of Old Bridge; her mother and father, Patricia and Joseph F. Tammany of Old Bridge; two sisters, Donna Taylor of Lyndonville, Vt., and Theresa Julio of Long Branch; and eight nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Bernadette’s Church, Parlin section of Old Bridge. Interment was in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, Marlboro.
