Search Day Program, Ocean Township, will hold a fund-raiser to honor its school nurse, Gloria Campbell, Freehold, Oct. 1 at Branches, 123 Monmouth Road, West Long Branch. The black-tie-optional event will feature dinner, dancing, auctions, and a 50/50 raffle. Campbell has been a part-time nurse at the center for 17 years. Search Day Program is a state approved nonprofit for children and adults with autism. The program provides skills for the individuals to lead fulfilling lives through positive integration with the community. Tickets for the event are $125 per person. The Monmouth Medical Center Foundation’s 10th annual “Two River Antiques Show and Garden Tour” recently raised $270,000 for the Jacqueline M. Wilentz Comprehensive Breast Center at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Proceeds will benefit acquisition of an additional ultrasound unit, and an upgrade to the center’s stereotactic breast biopsy system.

A bill sponsored by Assemblyman Robert L. Morgan (D-12th District) — the Immunization Registry Act or Bill A-2240 — was recently signed into law by Gov. James E. McGreevey. The legislation will establish a statewide electronic immunization registry in the Department of Health and Human Services to serve as a single repository of immunization and other preventive health screening records. According to Morgan, the law will assist the Department of Health in determining where there are gaps in immunizations in the state’s population.

The Greater Ocean Township Chamber of Commerce will hold “After Hours Networking” Sept. 14 from 5-7:30 p.m. at Move Ahead 1, 1973 Route 34, Suite E-23, Wall. Cost is $5 per person, and reservations are required.

Visiting Physician Services, Eatontown, announced that Bayville resident Helene Gibbons has joined its staff as a nurse practitioner. Prior to joining Visiting Physician Services, Gibbons was an adult nurse practitioner at CMS, Trenton.

Visiting Physician Services is a physician-based organization that provides house-call services to elderly and homebound patients.

Middletown resident Jill Cirigliano recently joined the staff at SCAN Learning Center, Monmouth Mall, Eatontown, as its marketing director. The center is a nonprofit that offers various courses for seniors age 50 and older. Cirigliano’s responsibilities include public relations, speaking engagements for local groups, increasing membership, creating special events, and promoting the professional development program. Prior to joining SCAN, she was marketing director at We Care Adult Day Care, and supervisor of senior citizen activities for the Township of Middletown. She received her bachelor of arts degree in communications at Glassboro State College (now Rowan University).

The Greater Ocean Township Chamber of Commerce is selling tickets for its annual scholarship fund-raiser scheduled for Nov. 11 at 8 p.m. at The Renaissance, 1110 Valley Road, Ocean Township. Admission is $30 for the event to feature a happy hour, hors d’oeuvres, gift auction, and a comedy show with three comedians. A dinner buffet is also available at an additional $20 per person.
