Brookdale Community College, Lincroft section of Middletown, in conjunction with the American Heart Association will co-sponsor two events Sept. 23 at the college’s Long Branch Higher Education Center, 213 Broadway. An outreach seminar will be from 1-6 p.m., and the presentation “Community Leadership: Search Your Heart” from 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Mary Ann Christopher, CEO of the Visiting Nurse Association of Central New Jersey, Red Bank, will be the keynote speaker at the first seminar, and will discuss significant factors in addressing the health needs of the African American and Latino populations. A community leaders networking reception with refreshments will follow. Health ministers, parish nurses and community members are invited to the community leadership presentation, which will be followed by a presentation by the American Heart Association.
