Impressive improvements will add to city’s gridlock

While the improvements to the oceanfront in Long Branch are impressive and exciting, access to these improvements is not. With hundreds of homes, condos and apartments as well as scores of businesses generating great volumes of automobile traffic, the two-lane roads that access the city and its waterfront will be overwhelmed.

There is already gridlock on summer weekends when the weather if fair. Imagine what we can anticipate in the near future. It will be interesting to learn how the city fathers and planners propose, as we hope they are doing, to address this very serious situation.
