      OBITUARIES

      JACQUES J. "JACK" GUIRE SR., 77, of West Long Branch died March 17 at Jersey Shore Center, Eatontown. Born in New York City, he resided in Long Branch prior to moving to West Long Branch in 1959. Mr. Guire was a retired bus driver for Asbury Park-New York Transit. He was also the owner of Peeps Trucking, West Long Branch, and a van service. Prior to that, he was the proprietor of John Guire Co., Long Branch, for 25 years, retiring in 1984. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a former captain and trustee of the West End Engine Company of the Long Branch Fire Department, and an honorary member of the West Long Branch Fire Company No. 2. He was an avid fan of NASCAR racing. Mr. Guire is survived by his wife, Katherine Conte Guire of West Long Branch; two sons, Jacques J. Guire Jr. and John Guire, both West Long Branch; his daughter, Diane Guire of Long Branch; his sister, Yvonne L. Guire of Long Branch; and one grandson. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. Entombment was at Woodbine Mausoleum, Oceanport.

      JOSEPH JAMES SANTELLE, 85, of Oceanport died March 12 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Newark, he resided in Red Bank prior to moving to Oceanport. Mr. Santelle was employed at Blaisdell Lumber, Red Bank, for 30 years, retiring in 1981. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II and in the Naval Reserve for 40 years. He was a communicant of St. James Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. His memberships included the Retired Officers Association, Naval Airship Association, and American Builders Association. He was predeceased by his wife of 38 years, Antoinette M. Alexander Santelle, in 1982. Mr. Santelle is survived by three daughters, Marilyn Lane of Keyport, Pamela Conklin of Oceanport and Jamie Kretsch of Eatontown; his brother, Dominick Santelle of Little Silver; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandson. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. James Roman Catholic Church. Interment was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater New Jersey Chapter, 100 Morris Ave., Suite 251, Denville 07834-1365.

      EVELYN V. KASCH JANECZKO, 89, of Neptune died March 10 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Hoboken, she resided in Highlands prior to moving to Neptune. Mrs. Janeczko was a homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter J. Janeczko, in 1974. She is survived by her son, Walter J. Janeczko of Rumson.
