OBITUARIES
LUCY PERRI SEALS, 79, of Gulfport, Miss., and formerly Long Branch, died Feb.. 15 in Biloxi, Miss. Born in Long Branch, she resided in Gulfport the past 20 years. She was a retired employee of San Alfonso Retreat House, Long Branch. She was a former parishioner of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. She was predeceased by a sister, Jean Hill. She is survived by her husband, Dorce Seals of Gulfport, Miss.; two daughters, Patricia Ponder of Gulfport, and Naoma D’Angelo of Pikeville, Tenn.; two sons, David L. Seals of Gulfport, and James E. Seals of Picayune, Miss.; three sisters, Mary Mellaci of Virginia, Mildred Colmorgen of Delaware, and Angie Calabrese of Gulfport; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
GLADYS G. SAUNDERS, of the Oakhurst section of Ocean Township, died Feb. 16 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, after a lengthy illness. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she resided in Deal, and the Elberon section of Long Branch prior to moving to Oakhurst in 1965. She was the owner and operator of the public relations firm, gg.saunders and Associates, Wall, Township, which she founded in 1982. She was a member of Temple Beth Miriam, Elberon, and a member and supporter of Hadassah. She was the assistant director of the Chamber of Commerce, Wall Township, for several years. Her activities included tennis, cycling, and spending time at the shore. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Harold Saunders of Oakhurst; two sons, Charles-Philip Saunders of Sonoma, Calif., and Ronald Jay Saunders of San Francisco, Calif.; and two sisters, Sylvia Katen of Merrick, N.Y., and Rosalyn Rosen of Brooklyn, N.Y. Burial was at Temple Beth Miriam Cemetery, Neptune. Memorial donations may be made to the American Parkinson’s Foundation, 100 Albany St., New Brunswick 08903.
ISABELLA GRACE MOYNIHAN APY, eight weeks, died Feb. 16 at the Children’s Hospital of Boston after a brief illness. She was born Dec. 17 in Charlotte, N.C. She is survived by her parents, Kathy and Ed Apy Jr. of Charlotte, N.C.; her twin brother, Charlie; and her maternal grandparents, Florence and John Moynihan of University Park, Fla.; and her paternal grandparents, Sharon and Ed Apy of Sea Bright. She touched the lives of all who she encountered during her brief life, and will be dearly missed. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at The Church of the Precious Blood, Monmouth Beach.
