Nomination deadline is Nov. 15 for the American Heart Association’s (AHA) New Jersey American Heartsaver Awards. The awards recognize "hometown heroes of the chain of survival," who have saved or helped in an attempt to save a life by performing CPR or using an automated external defibrillator.

Eligible individuals are lay people, medical or health care professionals, members of law enforcement or public safety, and civic or business leaders involved in a rescue or attempted rescue. Also eligible are individuals, corporations, businesses and organizations involved in an extraordinary involving early 911, early CPR, early defibrillation, and early advanced care.
