Joe Migliore of Jackson recorded a career day for the Monmouth University Hawks football team in their 35-20 loss to Morgan State last Saturday. Migliore fought off terrible field conditions to become the first player in school history to accumulate 100 yards rushing and 100 yards receiving in one game. Migliore ran for 106 yards on 25 attempts for a 4.2 yards-per-carry average. In the third quarter, he snared a pass from Bill Rankin and raced for a school-record 90-yard touchdown as the Hawks trimmed the lead to 28-20. For the game, he gained 101 yards on three receptions.

For his efforts, the junior was named the Monmouth University Athlete of the Week.
