Monmouth Girl Scout anniversary a special time for organization

The 90th anniversary of Girl Scouts of the USA is a particularly special one for the Monmouth Council of Girl Scouts as it coincides with the council’s 40th anniversary. Our official "90/40" anniversary celebration will take place on Oct. 5.

Monmouth Council’s 90/40 anniversary provides a unique opportunity for Girl Scouts of all ages to reflect upon their long history and fun-filled memories while planning for the future of the organization and the contributions they wish to make to it.

The Girl Scout organization develops as its members do; it has an uncanny ability to follow girls throughout their lives, adjusting to their changing needs and wants.

The experiences Girl Scouting has offered me are some of the most amazing I have ever had.

The Monmouth Council of Girl Scouts provides not only a safe, friendly and fun environment to challenge one’s self, it enables girls to learn more about themselves than they ever thought possible.

In Girl Scouting, whether the year is 2002, 1962 or 1912, it is always about creating an environment "where girls grow strong."
