Stroll-a-Thon Oct. 6

The nonprofit Senior Citizen Activity Network (SCAN), Eatontown, will hold its Intergenerational Stroll-a-Thon Oct. 6 at Monmouth Mall, Eatontown. Registration will be at 8:30 a.m., with the stroll at 9:30 a.m. at the mall’s food court.

Registration is $10 for the walk and includes a T-shirt. Proceeds will help SCAN provide continuing education programs at its learning center. The mall will be for walkers only, as it will not be open to the public at that hour.

Walk With Ronald in Long Branch Oct. 6

The Ronald McDonald House of Long Branch will present the fourth annual Walk With Ronald: Families Helping Families children’s walkathon Oct. 6 at Seven Presidents Park, Long Branch (rain or shine). Registration is 8:30 a.m., and the walk is 10 a.m.

There will be a 2-mile walk for children, and a 4-mile walk for adults. Proceeds will benefit The Ronald McDonald House of Long Branch, which provides a "home away from home" for families with seriously ill children being treated at nearby hospitals. Details: (732) 222-8755.
