‘Exploring Raritan’s Shores’ to be offered
The New Jersey Audubon Society will present "Exploring Raritan’s Shores" during September and October. Locally, the outdoor seminars will be Sept. 27 at Treasure Lake, Aberdeen and Oct. 11 at Whale Creek and Seidler Beach, Laurence Harbor. Both seminars will take place at 2:30 p.m.
The presentations are a series of family-oriented environmental education seminars explaining the ecological importance of stream corridors, salt marshes, tidal wetlands and natural beach front.
The seminars will take place at sites identified by the Raritan Bay wildlife habitat report, a publication produced by the society after a 3-year wildlife and habitat inventory.
Additional seminars will be Sept. 28 at Conaskonk Point wetlands, Union Beach, and Oct. 12 at Raritan Bayfront Park, South Amboy. Both take place at 9:30 a.m.
