           The Belmar Improvement Fund, in collaboration with the Jersey Shore Running Club, will present the 26th annual Belmar 5-Mile Run July 13. The 2002 Belmar 5-Mile Run is named in memory of longtime Belmar resident, Johnny Cobb. In addition to being an originator of the race, he had a 25-year career in the Belmar Police Department, and was a graduate and supporter of St. Rose High School, and promoted local sports his whole life. A portion of race proceeds will go toward a scholarship at St. Rose in memory of Johnny Cobb.
