Center seeks volunteers for various opportunities

The Volunteer Center of Monmouth County is seeking clerical assistance for an Oakhurst health care agency. Hours are flexible any weekday afternoon, and minimum age is 18.

An Eatontown area transitional home for women and children needs volunteers to help sort and organize clothing and toy donations Monday-Friday from 4-5 p.m. Minimum age is 14.

A Red Bank school that educates at-risk children in grades 1-6 needs volunteers to read to children and listen to the children read, monitor student progress, supervise and assist with lunchroom duties. Hours are flexible Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and minimum age is 18.

A national agency that provides assistance to all in need is looking for tutors for schoolchildren grades 1-6 in the Red Bank area. Volunteers will tutor children in various subjects Tuesdays from 3:30-5 p.m. until the end of May; minimum age is 16.
