PATRICIA A. HOURIHAN (nee TIBBETTS), 72, of Shrewsbury died Dec. 18 at Princeton Medical Center, while living with her daughter Kathleen O’Hara of Lawrenceville. Born in Jersey City, she had lived in Keyport and Metuchen before moving to Shrewsbury in 1984. Mrs. Hourihan was a homemaker. She was a communicant of St. James Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. She was a volunteer at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Mrs. Hourihan was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, John P. Sr., who died in April. She is survived by a son, John P. of Jacksonville, Fla.; two daughters, Barbara T. Pizonka of Valley Forge, Pa., and Kathleen E. O’Hara of Lawrenceville; two sisters, Judith Ihle of South Carolina and Nancy Tibbetts of Arizona; and seven grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. James Church, followed by interment at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, Keyport. GEORGE R. SCHEPP of Middletown died Jan. 21 at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center, New Brunswick. He was born in the Bronx, N.Y. He was an engineering supervisor for Lucent Technologies, Holmdel, for 42 years, retiring in 1993. Prior to that, he worked with Bell Laboratories and at Western Electric, New York City. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II performing submarine service on both the USS Skipjack and USS Plaice. He was past president of the Christian Brothers Academy Fathers Club. He was predeceased by his son, Paul Richard Schepp; his brother, Charles Schepp; and his sister, Elizabeth Schepp. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Marcella Donnelly Schepp of Middletown; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Mark and Robina Schepp of Middletown, George T. Schepp of Monmouth Beach, and Richard P. Schepp of Atlanta; his brother, Francis Schepp of Yonkers, N.Y.; his sister, Helen Plunkett of Bronxville, N.Y.; and five grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. Interment was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. HARRY W. TALLMAN JR., 91, of Asbury Park died Jan. 22 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Long Branch, he resided in Eatontown prior to moving to Asbury Park 10 years ago. He was a retired production tester for Bendix Co., Eatontown, for 38 years. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Strohmenger Tallman. He is survived by two sons, Harry V. Tallman of Landing and Joseph W. Tallman of Oakhurst; four grandchildren; and one great-grandson. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Dorothea’s Roman Catholic Church, Eatontown. Burial was at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport.

MARY M. SCALA, 87, of Long Branch died Jan. 23 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Bayonne, she lived in Oceanport and Long Branch since 1970. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerard Scala in 1977. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gerard B. and Marianne Scala of Long Branch; and five grandchildren, Daenna, Jonathan, Gabrielle, Kristan and Gregory. A funeral liturgy was offered at the Church of the Precious Blood Roman Catholic Church, Monmouth Beach. Interment was at Woodbine Cemetery, Long Branch.

ROSALIE F. WHITE, 61, of Long Branch died Jan. 25 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Oceanside, N.Y., she lived in Lake Huntington, N.Y., prior to moving to Eatontown. She is survived by her daughter, Allison White of Eatontown; and two brothers, Ralph Eovino of Oceanside, and Frank Eovino of Louisville, Ky. ANTHONY T. MAGARINO, 69, of Ocean Township died Jan. 15 at the Center for Hospice Care, Long Branch. Born in Long Branch, he resided in West Long Branch prior to moving to Ocean Township in 2001. He was the owner and operator of High Spot Barber Shop, Long Branch, for 38 years. He was a communicant of St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. He served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Carol Carelli Magarino of Ocean Township; three brothers, William Sr. of Red Bank, and Sam and Robert, both of Sparta; his sister, Josephine Chevalier of Long Branch; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. Interment was at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport.

DOROTHY M. KEMPROWSKI MEYERS, 61, of Belmar died Feb. 2 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Jersey City, she resided there until moving to Belmar three years ago. She was a cashier for Kmart, Wall Township, for one year. Prior to that, she was a custodian for the Jersey City Board of Education for 25 years, retiring 10 years ago. She was predeceased by her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Meyers, and her son-in-law, Robert O’Callahan. She is survived by her former husband, Joseph Meyers; her daughter, Catherine O’Callahan of Roselle Park; seven sons and four daughters-in-law, Joseph Meyers of Neptune City, Charles and Karen Meyers of Keansburg, Michael and Stella Meyers of Toms River, Keith Meyers of Ocean Grove, Kevin and Crystal Meyers of Jersey City, Mark and Ann Marie Meyers of Bayonne, and Shawn Meyers of Jersey City; two brothers, Frank Kemprowski of Red Bank, and John Kemprowski of Elberon; a sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Jim Mack of Long Branch; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral liturgy was held at St. Rose’s Roman Catholic Church, Belmar. Interment was at Bay View Cemetery, Leonardo section of Middletown.
