Red Bank’s Eric Escorsia Villata won the Jersey Shore Half-Marathon held at Sandy Hook. The native of Costa Rica posted a 1:13.44. The women’s champion was Kathy Heabel of Philadelphia who clocked 1:24.33 for the 13.1-mile race.

Locally, Rumson’s David Wellner (1:24:40) was ninth and Colts Neck’s Tom Grabowski (1:28:06), 13th. Age group winners included Shrewsbury’s Paul Haupt (55-59, 1:30:58).

Other top finishers was Highlands’ Dawn Ciccone (1:33:21), fourth. Age group winners included Long Branch’s Marilyn Ryder (60-64), 2:03:33).
