Route 35/36 construction to be completed by mid-July

The completion date for the Route 35/36 intersection reconfiguration project has been pushed up to mid- July as originally planned, according to officials from the Department of Transportation (DOT). Completion of the project had been scheduled for January 2013 due to delays.

LONG BRANCH — The City Council is moving forward with a controversial plan to install parking meters along the beachfront over the objections of some council members.

Councilwomen Mary Jane Celli and Joy Bastelli said during the May 8 workshop meeting that they have concerns about the plan.
